Hi, I’m Emi!

I’m a writer and I make stuff. All kinds of things really, and I use the word “make” pretty loosely, as an all encompassing word – like “create”. I live in North Portland with my boyfriend, Kendall; the world’s prettiest cat, Weaslebee; as well as our newest addition, our pup, Devo. I also am the program associate for a local dog rescue called One Tail at a Time PDX. I volunteered for OTAT for a couple years before being hired on, and I cannot recommend the org enough for adoption or for volunteering – go check out the website for more info about us!

On my blog, you will find posts about everything I make. More often than not the post is what I’ve made that day, like when I write a movie review or poem or just post about my life or rant about politics. Other times, the post is about what I have made, like when I post about a new recipe I tried or a DIY project I undertook. Whenever I try something new that turns out well, I always post D.I.Y. instructions for you, too, because if you want to join in on the fun you should be able to.
